My favorite museums in London

All of them are free to enter 🎉

1.
Victoria & Albert Museum
The variety of their collection is amazing and the building itself is magnificent. I love the Fashion and Jewelry collections. The V&A Cafe is a must visit, what a gorgeous atmosphere and interior design.
2.
The British Museum
You would need days if not weeks to discover the vast collection of this museum but I personally love the ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia galleries. Only a bit saddening to see these ancient artifacts away from their homes.
3.
Tate Modern
Amazing architectural conversion from a power station, Tate Modern houses one of the largest modern and contemporary art collection in the world. We used to live close by and I would visit it quite often and admire the greatest art of the last century including Picasso, Duchamp, Matisse, Pollock and many more. Don’t forget to check out Level 10 for great views of London, including St Paul's Cathedral and the Thames.
4.
Natural History Museum
Such a fun place to explore the history of nature, impressive building inside and out. I love their souvenir shop, you can find great gifts especially for kids and nature lovers as well. Must visit for families.
5.
The National Gallery
It’s hard not to get lost within its galleries, hundreds of paintings from the famous Arnolfini Portrait by Jan van Eyck, to Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh. You will get excited at every corner to see the names of the brilliant artists of all times, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Raphael, Da Vinci, Monet, Rembrandt to name a few.
6.
Sir John Soane’s Museum
It’s the smallest museum in this list, the preserved home and collection of eccentric 19th-century architect Sir John Soane. This intimate and labyrinth like space is full of surprises and unique displays in every inch. It’s mind blowing that it’s kept exactly as he left it in 1837.
